## Summary

I have spent 11+ years building distributed back-end systems: event-driven services on Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL tuned past 30M rows, idempotent recovery, and the service contracts that keep things honest when traffic spikes. I learned that on financial and banking platforms where a mistake costs money. More recently I have been contributing to AI-assisted applications at Agilent and building multi-agent and retrieval systems in my own projects.

- Agilent Technologies (2026 to present), Manufacturing Systems: contributing to a manufacturing-AI effort, prototyping a retrieval-augmented layer over standard-operating-procedure documents with schema validation and guardrails.
- HG Insights (2021 to 2025), Senior Software Engineer: designed and owned a geo-standardization service that normalized 15M+ company records into canonical shapes; scaled PostgreSQL past 30M rows; cut dashboard latency by more than 60%.
- Capital One via Cognizant (2018 to 2021), Senior Backend Engineer: owned Kafka workflows with a dead-letter strategy, bounded retry with backoff, and idempotent replay; built an OpenResty layer holding 12K+ TPS in test.
- AurionPro Solutions (2013 to 2015), Software Engineer: built the secure login and anti-phishing layer for a Kenyan bank's first online-banking platform in Java.
